GOSFORD R7 #7 Impurity @ $8.50 (0.67 UNITS WIN). Up in class but should be able to keep the momentum going at a good rated price for a win.
Result: Unplaced at SP $10.00. Rated $5.80. Nice overlay. Settled in the second half of the field, on the rails. Got off the fence on the turn to make its run and while found little room, never really hit top gear and hence never really looked a winner. Outcome -0.67 Units.

BALLARAT SYNTHET Race 2 No. 8 Uno Ruby @ $4.80
Result: 2nd at SP $5.50. Three wide the majority of the trip though kept though kept going soundly to finish second just under a length from the winner. Outcome -1.32 Units.

Result: 1st at SP $5.50, Best Tote $6.10, Betfair $7.20. Settled off the leaders back and came off hells with about 200m to go on and score the win by about a neck. Outcome +6.00 Units.
BALLARAT SYNTHET Race 5 No. 7 Trojan Storm @ $6
Result: 4th at SP $6.00. Settled in third, a couple of lenghts from the leader. Had every chance in the straight to chase down the leader but was no match and finished in fourth, four lengths from the winner. Outcome -1.00 Units.
Blackbooker Selections
BATHURST R2 #3 Crim @ $5.50 (1.12 UNITS WIN). If he can get out in front from the jump with a repeat of last prep he can pinch this. Down in class from last run with a big chance.

WARWICK FARM R4 #2 Kurnel Jaxon @ $23.00 (0.23 UNITS WIN). Unlucky FU when caught up in traffic. Back home today where he has one track and distance and is way over the odds for he win here today.
Result: Unplaced at SP $18.00. Rated $5.00. Nice overlay. From the inside barrier, went forward, found the rails and sat second just behind the leader. On the turn, went to challenge the leader but in the straight just failed to go with the winners and finished a little worse than midfield however only a length or so from the winner. Outcome -0.23 Units.
🏆🏆🏆IPSWICH R6 #3 Tisani Magic @ $4.20 (1.57 UNITS WIN). Jumps up a peg after last start run away win. Should handle this lot with an overs win.
Result: 1st at SP $5.00, Best Tote $5.60, Betfair $6.00. Rated $3.40. Nice overlay. Pushed forward to sit one off the rails in third, a length or so behind the leader. Moved three wide on the turn to challenge and hit the lead early in the straight and kept on charging to the line to hold on and win nicely. Outcome +6.59 Units.
WARWICK FARM R6 #5 Jacks Bar @ $8.50 (0.67 UNITS WIN). Good form on the board and wins second up afoud this distance range. Nice overs here today for the win.
Result: Unplaced at SP $10.00. Rated $10.90. Dwelled at the start and settled at the tail of the field. Took inside runs in the run home and was a highlight finished and only finished a length or so from the winner though was just too far back in the run to challenge the winner. Outcome -0.67 Units.

EAGLE FARM R3 #1 Grinzinger Star @ $5.00 (1.25 UNITS WIN). Brown/O’Brien and a trip nth, looks good. Unlucky last start but previous wins and placing put him in a winning way at a nice overs price.
Result: Unplaced at SP $5.50. Rated $2.50. Settled one off the rails, slightly better than midfield. Dropped back to near last on the turn and from there basically eased out to finish out the back. Possibly an issue with the horse. Outcome -1.25 Units.
🏆🏆🏆FLEMINGTON R3 #4 Parsifal @ $6.50 (0.91 UNITS WIN). Is just flying this campaign, can handle the sting in or out and with winning form and down in class and way over the rated odds looks a god win bet.
Result: 1st at SP $6.50, Best Tote $6.60, Betfair $7.56. Rated $4.60. In the straight race, settled near last in the middle of the track. Got going at about the 300m mark and took the lead with 100m to go to take the honors. Nice win. Outcome +5.91 Units.
FLEMINGTON R5 #2 Aristocratic Miss @ $9.00 (0.63 UNITS WIN). Drops in class and is a good chance after last start win. Nice overlay winning bet chance here today.
Result: 2nd at SP $7.00. Rated $6.60. Settled midfield on the rails. Took inside runs in the straight and battled on well to score second in a photo, though was a couple of lengths from the leader. Sound effort. Outcome -0.63 Units.
EAGLE FARM R9 #1 Mishani Hustler @ $61.00/16.00 (0.09 UNITS WIN) (0.34 UNITS PLACE). A couple of minor issues but if can get some luck and keep on running could get in at way over the rated odds of 7’s.
Result: Unplaced at SP $101. Rated $8.10. From the wide barrier and continued the early pace to eventually have a share of the second, one off the fence about a length behind the leader. Early in the straight when placed under pressure, Mishani Hustler found little and dropped back through the field with about 200m to go to finish last as the back markers dominated the placings. Outcome -0.43 Units.
FLEMINGTON R9 #3 Poised To Strike @ $11.00 (0.50 UNITS WIN). Well suited here on his fav track and distance range. Should go well at overs for the win.
Result: Unplaced at SP $9.50. Rated $7.30. Settled slightly better than midfield in the straight race. As the winning group got going at about the 300m mark, Poised to Strike couldn’t match there pace and held its ground to finish slightly better than midfield. Outcome -0.50 Units.
MORPHETTVILLE R8 #2 Charossa @ $3.60 (1.50 UNITS WIN). Record is 2 from 3 this T/D and a winner first up. Prepared for resumption with an 8l win in trial over 1000m on 16 May and can win here.
Result: Unplaced at SP $2.30. Rated $3.20. Hustled early after leaving the barriers near last to settle midfield on the rails. Had a zig zaging run in the straight including being partially blocked though probably effected its place chance and not winning. Outcome -1.50 Units.

Result: Unplaced at SP $15.00. Settled in the lead but dropped out early in the straight to finish towards the tail of the field. Outcome -0.50 Units.
WARRACKNABEAL Race 2 No. 16 Sirius Deal @ $14 - (0.39 UNIT WIN)
Result: 3rd at SP $5.00. Nice market support. Coming from the last part of the field, was wide on the turn making its run but was never a winning threat always a fair bit behind the winner. Outcome -0.39 Units.
RANDWICK Race 3 No. 14 Wealthy Wolf @ $34 (0.16 UNIT WIN)
Result: Unplaced at SP $61.00. Settled towards the tail, a number of lengths from the lead. Always out the back, never a winning threat despite hitting the line well. Outcome -0.16 Units.

Result: 2nd at SP $2.60. Settled just behind the leaders in third. Clean running in the straight taking an inside run but winner was too good winning by about a length but a gap to third. Outcome -1.50 Units.

Result: Unplaced at SP $4.60. Rated $4.60. Settled one off the rails in a share of second, about a length behind the leader. Under pressure from the turn and dropped away quickly to finish towards the tail of the field. Outcome -0.84 Units.
CRANBOURNE R7 #7 Crimson Ace @ $8.50 (0.67 UNITS WIN). Won well last start in similar company and could be able to collect a cheque at overs here.

Our one winner for the day from our two Rocktober selections, Redeemer, was really hammered in the market from its official price at about lunchtime today of $13.00 into its Starting Price of $5.50. Hopefully a few were on it at the fixed price. Well done if you did.

Result: 1st at SP $5.50, Best Tote $6.30, Betfair $4.99. Coming from the back, got to the outsider and really let go from the top of the straight to put up two to three length lead with about 200m to go and won comfortably. Outcome +5.42 Units.

UPDATE re ROCKTOBER Selections. We put the <$8 price point in due to some sensitive intel we had late last year. Without saying anymore, the reason for that restriction is no longer valid. So it is up to you if you back the horses greater than that price and if so, you may want to go E/W (Betfair would work well). We will start to record them to WIN 5 UNITS at any price from now on but still keep the 1.5 UNIT max bet in place.

CANTERBURY R4 # Waruna @ $5.50 (1.12 UNITS WIN). Will be fitter today and a repeat of her 2nd two starts back will see he go very close at overs for the win.
Result: Unplaced at SP $6.00. Rated $4.50. Settled in fourth, one off the rails, a couple of lengths from the leader. Under pressure from the turn and dropped back a place or two and from there Waruna went to the line and finished in the second half of the field.
BALLARAT R7 #1 Bronski @ $9.50 (0.51 UNITS WIN). The one to beat here today in weaker class and a very good overs price for a win IMO.
Result: 3rd at SP $3.30. Rated $3.00. Good solid support for Bronski. Settled in third on the leaders back. Took the rails run in the straight and lead for much of the straight though was collared in the final strides by back makers. Good run though. Outcome -0.51 Units.
Gawler R7#3 Eperdument @$5.00 1.25u Win. This 4yo mare is racing in great form with 3wins from last 4 incl 2 at Gawler over this distance. Taking the mare in form to continue winning from a favourable draw at overs here.
Result: 3rd at SP $4.40. Rated $3.20. Settled one off the rails in fourth. Dropped back slightly mid race to fifth. On the went wide and came down the middle of the track but only whacked away to the line and never really threatened to win. Outcome -1.25 Units.

In the straight, the winner, Vega One (SP $4.80) went straight past it but Mishani Hustler battled on well to hold third where the placings where dominated by on speed. Outcome -0.46 Units.
SCONE R4 #5 Southern Lad @ $8.00 (0.72 UNITS WIN). If he finds his best today to overcome the wide barrier he could very well collect the cheque at a healthy overs.
Result: 3rd at SP $8.00. Rated $4.30. From the wide barrier, dropped back to settled in the last part of the field, three to four wide with cover. In the straight, was one of the widdest runners coming down the middle of the track but the winner had too much of a gap for Southern Lad to make up. Nice run and finished well though. Outcome -0.72 Units.
KEMBLA R8 #12 Brilliance Squared @ $4.40 (1.48 UNITS WIN). Just kept coming last start for a 2nd over 1600. The extra distance and a drop in weight should get him over the line.
Result: 3rd at SP $3.60. Rated $8.30. Settled midfield one off the rails. On the turn, the field bunched up as Brilliance Squared went up three wide to make its run. Loomed to win in the straight but just couldn’t finish off the race and finished a close up third. Outcome -1.48 Units.
Morphettville R7 #1 Chapada @$6.00 1u Win His 3rd behind The Autumn Sun in The Australian Guineas was a really strong performance on a heavy track. Track again looks to be slow/heavy here and his big race experience and with W Pike on board appeals as a winning chance.
Result: 4th at SP $5.00. Rated $10.40. Settled on the rails in about sixth as the field was spread in the run. On the turn, presented three / four wide but the winner got a winning break on the turn while Chapade weakened late in finish fourth in a photo. Outcome -1.00 Unit.

TOWNSVILLE R6 #1 Exceedingly Kool @ $7.50 (0.77 UNITS WIN). Drops in class and right in this at a good overs win price.
Result: 4th at SP $5.50. Rated $5.30. In a 1000m dash, Exceedingly Kool sat one of the fence in a three way share of the lead. In the straight, was dropped quickly by the leader though kept on running acceptably to just miss third in a photo. Outcome -0.77 Units.
PAKENHAM R3 #5 Toff Love @ $7.00 (0.84 UNITS WIN). Last run over 1600 was a lung buster to get him ready for the 1400 here today IMO. Nice overs for a win.

Result: 2nd at SP $7.50. Rated $15.40. In one of the smaller sized fields of the carnival, Whyouask settled towards the tail of the field on the rails. Stayed to the inside for the run home and made up good ground quite quickly. Hit the front with 200m to go but it strides got shorter in the final parts and just couldn’t hold out the fast finishing winner. Outcome -0.59 Units.

On the turn made it basically a line of three and got to a small lead at about the 300m mark and maintained that small lead, holding off all comers to win. Outcome +5.67 Units.

WARRNAMBOOL R7 #13 Scuzi @ $15.00 (0.36 UNITS WIN). Six wins around this distance rain and wins 1st up to 4th up. Likes the sting out and is a nice overs price for a win.
Result: Unplaced at SP $17.00. Rated $13.60. Eventually settled towards the tail of the field, three wide with cover. On the turn for home was five wide looking to get into the race but found little in the straight to finish towards the tail. Outcome -0.36 Units.
🏆🏆🏆WARRNAMBOOL R8 #11 I Am Someone @ $7.00 (0.84 UNITS WIN). Has some handy wet track form and certainly good enough here after last start 2nd beating home some handy types.
Result: 1st at SP $5.50, Best Tote $5.40, Betfair $6.80. Rated $5.10. In the big field and from the wide barrier, I Am Someone eased out and settled in the last part of the field on the rails. In the straight kept to the inside while the majority of horses went quite wide of the rails. However the I Am Someone kicked at the 200m and got a couple length lead which it held to win nicely. Nice smart ride by Dean Holland. Outcome +5.88 Units
WARRNAMBOOL R10 #10 Czechoslovakia @ $8.50 (0.67 UNITS WIN). Loves the sting out of the ground and will be fitter 2nd up.
Result: 2nd at SP $6.00. Rated $7.70. Settled three wide with cover towards the tail of the field. On the turn went five wide down the middle of the track and while ran well the winner, Connerey (SP $4.60 also a Rocktober selection) just proved too strong in the end. Outcome -0.67 Units.

STRATHALBYN R1 #8 Momentus Deal @ $3.50
Result: Unplaced at SP $4.00. Rated $8.40. Settled in a share of fourth, one off the rails, just behind the leaders. As the speed was backed off mid race, Momentus Deal lost its position and ended up being slightly worse than midfield. From then on Momenuts Deal really struggled and finished towards the tail of the field.
WARWICK FARM R6 #6 Mystic Hill @ $3.30 X 3.50= 11.55 X (0.48 UNITS WIN)= 5.54 UNITS
Result: Unplaced at SP $3.10. Rated $4.20. Settled towards the tail, a number of lengths off the speed in the small field. Niggled from the 600m and was always too far back to worry the winners. Outcome -0.48 Units.
Strathalbyn R8 #1 Cannot Be Serios @$11 0.5u Win. Racing well in higher grade and with 3kg Claim here comes in on same weight as main opposition. Has benefit of barrier 1 and with speed on here will be able to finish on strongly from sit behind the pace.
Result: Unplaced at SP $16.00. Rated $18.40. Settled on the rails, towards the tail of the field. On the turn, the field really jammed up. Cannot Be Serios stayed towards the rail and while had room in the straight and made initial ground up, weakened late to finish midfield. Outcome -0.50 Units.
Rocktober Selections
WARRNAMBOOL Race 9 No. 17 Skelton @ $7 (0.84 UNIT WIN)
Result: Unplaced at SP $5.50. After racing in the first half of the field, was dropped on the turn and finished in the last part of the field. Outcome -0.84 Units.
🏆🏆🏆WARRNAMBOOL Race 10 No. 9 Connery @ $4.80 (1.32 UNITS WIN)
Result: 1st at SP $4.60, Best Tote $5.20, Betfair $5.14. After racing midfield, was held up initially in the straight though when eased out to the middle part of the track really motored home to claim victory. Outcome +6.32 Units
