A cracking start to the month in Talking Nice in Seymour which drifted from $6.50 to $23.15 on Betfair SP. Unfortunately this couldn’t be maintained despite a number of minor placings many at double figure odds.

Result: 3rd at SP $3.40. Settled in just behind the leaders, one off the rails in third. Had its chance in the straight to run down the leaders but was that one step behind and not able to bridge the gap. Outcome -1.50 Units.

HAWKESBURY R1 #2 Ariage @ $4.80 (1.04 UNITS WIN).
Result: 3rd at SP $4.40. Rated $6.90. Dropped just behind the leaders to settle one off the fence in a share of third. Was the widest runner in the straight but when the winner accelerated half up the straight, Ariage couldn’t match this and finished a length or so away in third. Outcome -1.04 Units.
HAWKESBURY R6 #7 Magnificently @ $4.40 (1.14 UNITS WIN)
Result: 3rd at SP $5.00. Rated $6.70. Pushed forward early to settle outside the leader in second. Was dropped on the turn by the leaders but stuck on well to hold third on the line in a photo. Outcome -1.14 Units.

Result: Unplaced at SP $21.00. Rated $6.30. Nice value and overlay. Settled towards the tail of the field. In the straight was never likely as it held its ground and position. Outcome -0.34 Units.
KEMBLA GRANGE R4 #2 Peyton Place @ $6.00 (1 UNIT WIN).
Result: 3rd at SP $6.00. Rated $11.80. Went forward to lead on the rails. Lead by a length at the top of the straight though was immediately challenged but did well to fight on to hold onto third. Outcome -1.00 Unit.
RANDWICK R5 #2 Miss Fabulass @ $10.00 (0.56 UNITS WIN).
Result: Unplaced at SP $11.00. Settled at the tail of the field and in the straight never challenged for the lead and finished in the last part of the field. Outcome -0.56 Units.
YARRA VALLEY R7 #9 Dry Biscuit @ $17.00 (0.32 UNITS WIN).
Result: 2nd at SP $6.00. Rated $6.30. Settled in the last part of the field. In the straight was one of the widest runners and rattled home from well back to come within half a length of victory. Outcome -0.32 Units.
MOONEE VALLEY R10 #6 Snogging @ $13.00 (0.42 UNITS WIN)
Result: Unplaced at SP $17.00. Rated $12.40. Settled just behind the leaders, one off the rails. In the straight kept on the rails and ran on okay but was no match for the leaders finishing a bit better than midfield. Outcome -0.42 Units.

Result: 3rd at SP $4.20. Rated $3.50. Settled in fourth a couple lengths away from the lead. In the straight battled away however was no match for the winner who finish hard as Blue Tycoon finished a length away in third. Outcome -1.32 Units.
GEELONG R7 #8 Steel Prince @ $5.00 (1.25 UNITS WIN). Class here IMO, runs well this class and distance and a good overs bet for the win.
Result: Unplaced at SP $6.00. Rated $2.90. Nice overlay value. Settled three wide with cover in midfield position. On the turn moved up wider to make its run but just held ground in the straight to finish midfield. Outcome -1.25 Units.
ASCOT R1 #1 Skydance @ $11.00 (0.50 UNITS WIN). Excellent trial coming wide down the outside to win. Good chance FU.
Result: Unplaced at SP $12.00. Settled in second, one off the rails a length or so behind the leader. Was chasing all the way up the straight without making ground and dropped away in the final part of the race to finish in the last part of the field. Outcome -0.50 Units.

BALLARAT R7 #4 Raktoff @ $8.00 (0.72 UNITS WIN). Proven performer around this distance range with 4 wins from last 5. Will be hard to hold out here.
Result: 4th at SP $3.70. Rated $7.70. Lead on the rails until the final 100m when was swamped but still finished within a length or two from the winner in fourth Outcome -0.72 Units.
